Judah, Jacob’s son, received the following blessing of wine from his father: “…he will wash his garments in wine, and his vesture in the blood of grapes. His eyes shall be red with wine, and his teeth white with milk.” (Genesis 49: 11-12) The commentaries teach that this was a prophecy that in the land of Judah wine will be as plentiful as water springs. 

The Gush Etzion region of the land of Judah is certainly blessed and plentiful, laying before us a colorful carpet of grapes from which we produce our wines. We invite you to take a Jeep or ATV tour through vineyards, ancient wine presses and ancient grape storage towers.  During this tour, you will learn about the unique terroir of Gush Etzion, and the history of Gush Etzion. The tour offers explanations of the various grapes, how they are grown and techniques that were used in producing wines in biblical times. The final stop of the tour is the Gush Etzion Winery and restaurant.
