The Lone Oak Tree Series:
The varietal series of the Winery is named after the famous tree that stood at the center of the four kibbutzim which were established in Gush Etzion before the War of Independence. Until the return of Jewish communities to the area, those who looked from afar with longing at Gush Etzion, would see the oak tree. Upon returning to the place, this “Lone Oak Tree” became the symbol of the renewal of the communities of Gush Etzion.
Varietal: 100% Sauvignon Blanc. Dry white wine.
About the process: The grapes are hand harvested, then broken to create the initial high-quality must, which then goes through a slow cold supervised fermentation in stainless steel fermentation tanks to create the wine.
Characteristics: Color of green straw, with a strong tropical fruit-forward note with a grassy and minerality aroma in the background. The wine is crisp, acidic and fresh.
Alcohol content: 13.5%
Kosher: The Wine is Kosher-L’mehadrin for Passover.
